New Delhi: The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be university, the first-ever tribal university of the world and regarded as the world’s largest anthropological laboratory is all set to host the 19th International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES) World Congress – 2023.According to KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta, the Anthropological Congress would be held from January 15 to 19 in 2023. “The Anthropological Congress is held every five years in different parts of the world and India will be hosting this prestigious meet after a long gap of 45 years, which is a matter of pride for the country in general and Odisha in particular,” Samanta said. The IUAES World Congress is the largest gathering of academicians and researchers in the fields of Anthropology and Ethnology in the world. In this global meet of the scholars engaged in the scientific study of humankind, KISS and Odisha would be projected in all its beauty and charm, Samanta stated. India hosted the IUAES World Congress only once, way back in 1975.
