first_imgCAPPRY ROVERS NOTES  03/10/2016 CAPPRY LOTTO The numbers drawn in the Cappry lotto were 5, 17, 19, 23.There was no jackpot winner.The winner of the lucky €50 ticket was Raymond Browne, Ash Meadows, Drumboe .Next weeks jackpot is €6100.Remember if you’re not in, you can’t win. CAPPRY ROVERSDeele hosted Cappry in Division One and the points went back up the road through Ballybofey. Cappry started well and piled on the pressure which paid off on 20 minutes when an unchallenged cross from the left picked out Paddy McNulty who headed home. Soon after Deele conceded again when Calvin Bradley evaded two Deele tackles and fired home a great strike from 20 yards. As Deele were beginning to threaten the visitors delivered the sucker punch on 44 minutes when some hesitant defending from Deele let Bradley in and he needs no invitation and he lobbed home from a tight angle. The home side improved in the second half but the damage was done and Cappry deserved the win.CAPPRY ROVERS U14s Cappry Rovers hosted Fintown Harps on Saturday afternoon in Cappry Park. In what was a tight game it was Cappry who emerged victorious on a 2-1 scoreline with Odhran O’Donnell and Jamie Murray on the score sheet.CAPPRY CRUSADERS U14’s Our U14 Cappry Crusaders welcomed Letterkenny United to Cappry Park on Saturday 01/10/16. Daniel Crawford returned between the posts with Tim Scanlon lining out alongside Johnny Griffin and Kian Gallagher in defence! In a lively encounter it was Cappry who started the brighter with Ronan Gallagher and Keelan Browne dictating the pace of the game with clever passing and movement. Daniel Taberski, Conor Lynch and Owen Stewart added energy in the midfield which was rewarded with a goal on 20 mins by Stewart! Keelan Browne scored a sublime second with a subtle chip just before half time to make it 2-0 to Cappry at the break. Letterkenny pressed hard after the break but the Cappry rearguard stood strong with the back 3 tackling hard! Keelan Browne scored his second of the game finishing off a fine move to make it 3-1 to Cappry! Letterkenny scored from a penalty with 15 minutes left in the clock after hesitation in the Cappry defence! The introduction of Johnny Bell, Darragh Porter, Declan Slevin, Sean McGroary and Shane McBride provided the tackling and energy needed to see the game out for a Cappry win with the final score line 3-1! The hard work at training is showing on the pitch!A man of the match performance from Keelan Browne for his all round play and clinical finishing!Thanks to TK McFeely and his Letterkenny team for a sporting game!CAPPRY ROVERS U12’s Our U12’s made the short trip to the Finn Valley Centre last Friday evening to play Ballybofey Utd and continued their great run with a 4-0 victory. Daniel Marley, Kevin McCormack, Luke McGlynn and Mark Mbuli scored the goals for Cappry.CAPPRY COLTS U12’sCappry Colts 4 Lagan Colts 2Cappry came from behind late on to secure a good win at home to Lagan at the weekend. The game was only 6 minutes old when Niall Ryan pounced to put the home side 1 up. Matthew Peoples scored for Lagan one minute later to make it 1 each, and this is how it remained until half time with good chances at both ends. Lagan started the 2nd half well and midway through the half Matthew Peoples scored again to put the away side ahead. The home side never gave up and with 8 minutes left scored three times with Darragh Carroll scoring his 1st ever goal for Cappry, followed by Eoin McGonagle and Niall Ryan to earn a hard fought win.
