The Colorado-based Beanstalk Music & Mountains Festival announced last week that it will be returning to the beautiful Rancho Del Rio site from June 22nd-25th, 2017. Today, festival organizers announced its phase one artist lineup, which will once again feature hometown hosts The Magic Beans, performing three out of the four nights.Joining the Beans will be The Disco Biscuits side-project Moshi Fameus (ft. Aron Magner & Allen Aucoin), Vulfpeck’s own Theo Katzman, Beethoven-inspired classical dance music project Reed Mathis & Electric Beethoven, Montana-based bluegrass outfit Kitchen Dwellers, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies (w/ Aron Magner), Cycles (two nights), Pho, Yak Attack, Malai Llama and Lady & The Gentlemen, who will play a tribute to the Allman Brothers and Doobie Brothers.Outside of the music, Beanstalk features a bevy of activities outside of what is sure to another top-notch lineup, including swimming, tubing, whitewater rafting, hot springs, and miles of hiking/biking trails. BACOLOD City – The local government unit of this city issued closure ordersagainst three establishments for operating without a mayor’s permit. “They have applied for a mayor’spermit and the status is on process. But they were inspected two times na and during the third inspection theywere served with closure orders,” Rayos told Panay News. “The closure order was upon therecommendation of the PLD and the CLO acted upon it,” said Bayatan. An establishment needs to secure OBOand BFP inspection certificates before they could apply for a mayor’spermit. “Angmga hotels nabudlayan mag-secure sang permit kay karikot, damu pa na nga compliance. Pero indi naman related sa safety, more naman sa health,” he said. City Legal Office (CLO) head JoselitoBayatan, however, requested to withhold the names of the establishments. “We found out that they were lackingin fire safety equipment such as fire alarms, sprinklers and fire exits,” saidBayatan. Bayatan also said the threeestablishments did not comply with relevant firesafety laws. Joint forces of the Office of theBuilding Official (OBO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), City Legal Office,and the PLD served the order. These three establishments will remainclosed until they have secured necessary permits./PN Permits and Licensing Division (PLD)head Stela Rose Rayos said these businesses – two hotels and a pension house –were temporarily shut down yesterday.
